A country boy at heart, reared on the land in the post war era where I enjoyed a great life while I was growing up. My experiences were much different to the city life of my cousins, but I would not have changed it for the world. In primary school we three boys travelled seven miles to school in a horse drawn sulky.

Little things I remember when family visited, like having to put our farm dairy milk into a “milk bottle” so my cousin would drink it as she believed milk came from a bottle, not a cow.

Save for my first twenty years in the public service and private enterprise, the remainder of my working life I have been self-employed. I worked in several areas enjoying varying degrees of success resulting in much experience and learning.

During my last venture for twelve years in Body Corporate Administration I say I was also a part time Massage Therapist Associate. This came about due to my interest in Sue’s Massage Therapy business as we shared knowledge and discussed conditions of her clients. I attended Massage Conferences, Workshops, Expos etc as a participant. Hence, over time I did develop a good understanding of massage and other natural therapies.

All my life the wellness of my parents was primarily by way of natural therapies so really this natural therapy way of life has been a lifetime way of life for myself and my parents.

KEN’S STORY

A retiree in training with a worn out left knee who eventually gave in to having a total knee replacement on the 2nd April 2019. Normal is up walking the next day, rehab and back to walking in a few weeks. Not me!

Day one, lets walk! Not me, I had some sort of episode followed by 3 days in ICU. Back to the ward, bleeding won’t stop. On day six all drips etc were taken out, the external bleeding had stopped but my knee was so swollen I had no range of motion.

Day ten I was relocated to Rehab where a doctor decided to do an ultrasound on my leg. Result was four blood clots in my lower leg and one clot in my lung.

Day twenty-six I was discharged from Rehab as they said they can do no more. Left leg knee was still stiff, twice the size of my right knee and bright red in colour.

My surgeon was going on leave for a month on the 16th May 19 and suggested we see how it goes, maybe he will need to operate when he returns but there was no plan.

My wife went to a conference 24th May 1919 and discovered a Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field Therapy system known as an Intelligent Magnetic Resonance System, iMRS 2000. The system claimed to be able to provide benefits which may provide relief for my condition.

On her return, Sue further researched the iMRS 2000 and we decided to have a trial treatment, subsequently renting the machine for four weeks.

Within four days I was moving around aided only by a wheelie walker. My condition continued to improve. Pain levels were decreasing, my sleeping was much better quality and my attitude had become really positive. By the end of three weeks I was walking unaided, only occasionally touching on benches etc for balance and security.

At the rental end we purchased our own system. Resultant of word of mouth, successes with clients of Sue, needs of Family and Friends we now have five rental systems and one system in the clinic which we use for treatments and client education.

Now this semiretired person is now working at a very rewarding business of helping people to a drug free and pain free lifestyle of wellness by simply recharging the cells of their body to enable their bodies to work the way they used to work.

ABOUT SUE PYNE

My career in Massage and Myotherapy has now exceeded 20 years and came about due to my need to lead a pain free life with independent mobility.

Circa 1974, following a serious car accident, I was experiencing extreme back pain and mobility issues when my GP suggested that he expected I would ultimately be using a wheelchair for mobility.

This prompted me to begin a search for an alternate means to manage my pain and maintain independent mobility.

The search for answers led me to alternate methods and ultimately a career in massage therapy utilising Remedial. Acupressure, Bowen and several other modalities.

Over time I have developed a strong understanding of the musculoskeletal functioning of the body. Being a reasoning, practical person with the need to understand I have developed my own unique skill set utilising my formal learning. These skills have formed the basis of my various treatments enabling me to enjoy helping people in their pursuit of pain free wellness and mobility.
